At the bench
Helge Netland has been trained in the pure tradition of French bowmaking passed on through the generations for 200 years. As always in the classical French tradition, all parts are fully prepared by hand (in the workshop). The sticks and frogs are prepared using planes, knives and chisels. All silver and gold parts are cut out and soldered by himself. None of the mother-of-pearl pieces come ready made ; all are cut from larger pieces of choice shells.
Helge Netland also performs restorations and creates exact copies of fine old bows.
